1. Define the following prerequisite.
- Industry Sector (OMS2)
- Material Type (OMS3)
- Material Group (OMSF)
- Purchasing Group (OME4)
2. Run tcode: MMNR.
3. Click the Groups button.
4. Click the New Number range button.
5. Enter the Group name and the number range.
- Tick the Ext in the last column if the number you are going to create is an external number, otherwise leave it blank.
- Go back and click save once the dialog box appear asking you to save.
6. Select the Material Group then click the Element/Group
7. Once the Group Selection pop-up, double click the number range name you just created
8. You should see the assigned number range to the material group
9. Save
10. You will see this in the status bar.
